Le rôle du conseil d’administration de l’école nationale supérieure de conservation et restauration des biens culturels est de définir la politique de gestion de l’établissement, d’examiner son fonctionnement et de valider les décisions stratégiques.

Ses missions incluent, l’analyse du bilan de l’année, en matière de finance budgétaire, bilan pédagogique et scientifique, discuter de partenariat socio-économique et proposer des orientations pour une gestion efficiente.

The Board of Directors is one of the school’s administrative bodies. Pursuant to Article 22 of Executive Decree No. 16-176 of 9 Ramadhan 1437, corresponding to June 14, 2016.

The school is administered by a Board of Directors, headed by a director assisted by deputy directors, a secretary general, and the library director, and is equipped with administrative and academic bodies to evaluate educational and academic activities.

The secretariat of the board is managed by the school’s secretary general.

The Board of Directors is chaired by the Minister of Higher Education or his representative, or by the relevant minister or his representative, and is composed of:

  • a representative of the Minister of Finance;
  • a representative of the Minister of National Education;
  • a representative of the minister responsible for vocational training and education;
  • a representative of the authority responsible for the civil service;
  • a representative of the Minister responsible for higher education for schools established by other ministerial departments;
  • representatives of the main user sectors, depending on the nature of the training provided at the institution, the list of which is established by the decree establishing the school;
  • elected representatives of faculty members, the number and rank of whom are determined by order of the Minister responsible for higher education or by the relevant minister;
  • an elected representative of associate faculty, if applicable;
  • two (2) elected representatives of administrative, technical, and support staff;
  • two (2) elected student representatives;
  • a representative of the school’s alumni associations, if applicable.

Up to four (4) representatives of legal entities and/or individuals contributing to the school’s funding may attend the meetings of the Board of Trustees in an advisory capacity.

The Board of Directors may call upon any person likely to provide insight into its work.

External experts, appointed for their expertise, participate in the Board’s proceedings in an advisory capacity.

The Board of Directors of the ENSCRBC is amended by Executive Decree No. 21-49 of 7 Jumada al-Thani 1442, corresponding to January 21, 2021, regarding the transformation of the National School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property into a higher education institution.

Art. 6. — In addition to the members listed in Article 24 of Executive Decree No. 16-176 of 9 Ramadhan 1437, corresponding to June 14, 2016, mentioned above, the Board of Directors includes, representing the main user sectors:

  • the representative of the Minister of National Defense;
  • the representative of the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Regional Planning;
  • the representative of the Minister in charge of Mujahideen and Beneficiaries;
  • the representative of the Minister of Religious Affairs and Waqfs;
  • the representative of the Minister of Digitalization and Statistics;
  • the representative of the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and Cities;
  • the representative of the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Family Labor;
  • the representative of the Minister in charge of the environment;
  • the representative of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Microenterprises;
  • the representative of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, responsible for the knowledge economy and start-ups;
  • a representative of the Algerian Space Agency.

The board of directors may call upon any person likely to assist it in its work.

The list of members of the board of directors is established by order of the Minister of Culture.
