Excellence in Education for the Preservation of Algerian Heritage
The State Engineering Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, awarded by the ENSCRBC, is an elite program that trains experts in the preservation of our cultural heritage. This five-year program, the only one of its kind in Algeria, combines:
- A solid scientific foundation (chemistry, physics, materials science) tailored to the specific characteristics of cultural property.
- High-quality, hands-on technical training in specialized workshops.
- In-depth knowledge of cultural heritage (Algerian and Maghreb art history, archaeology, ethnography).
- A rigorous professional ethic that respects the integrity and authenticity of the works.
The goal of this program is to train engineers who can analyze deterioration mechanisms, design conservation and restoration treatments suited to Algeria’s climate and cultural context, and manage heritage preservation projects.
